He holds a PhD in Latin American Studies and is

Emeritus Humanities Chair at the American School

Foundation of Guadalajara, and Latin American

consultant to the US State Department’s Office

of Overseas Schools. Dr. Hogan is a member of

the Organization of American Historians, and the

Sociedad de Geografía y Estadísticas in Mexico

where he continues to live and work.
